Leading commercial property management firm MAPP has restructured its growing building consultancy service to establish an independent business, Building Consultancy by MAPP LLP.
This specialist practice is led by Alex Herrmann, who has led the building consultancy team within MAPP through considerable growth for over three years, and with the inception of Building Consultancy by MAPP, becomes an Equity Partner in the business.
The team practice will remain closely aligned with MAPP. Providing MAPP’s portfolio clients with an ‘in-house’ Building Consultancy service as an extension of the property management service but also increasingly seeking and winning separate mandates across the UK served by an experienced team based in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Bristol.
Nigel Mapp, CEO of MAPP, said:
“As our building consultancy team has grown in recent years under the stewardship of Alex, and with real momentum behind the business with the tailwinds of new recruits and client wins, it is the right time to establish it as an autonomous practice – embracing its independence and flexibility, while continuing to reap the benefits of being part of the MAPP group.
In comparison with property management, building consultancy is a relatively nascent business, but one which will undoubtedly have an increasingly prominent role in the management of assets through their life cycle.”
Alex Herrmann, Head of Building Consultancy by MAPP, said:
“This is an incredibly exciting and transformational time for the world of building consultancy. The intense scrutiny on sustainability and the changing way occupiers are interacting with the built environment is changing the whole concept of building consultancy. As a nimble and independent practice, we are perfectly placed to provide clients with strong, insightful advice grounded in a wealth of experience and expertise.”
As part of this announcement, we are looking to grow the team across all offices. If you’d like to discuss a career move to Building Consultancy by MAPP please contact Alex Herrmann.
