The client required the gas main replacement works to be completed while ensuring Kent Science Park and manufacturing facilities remained fully operational throughout the project.
The MAPP approach
The Technical Services team worked alongside the MEP contractor to convert the site’s existing MTHW boiler system to an alternative fuel source during the gas replacement works, ensuring heating services remained operational.
The impact
The solution allowed all buildings and manufacturing operations to remain fully operational throughout the project, with limited production downtime experienced prior to the final switchover back to the permanent gas supply.
The Technical Services team were integral in our efforts to safeguard essential services and operations at Kent Science Park during a period where specialist advice was required to find solutions to critical infrastructure issues.
