MAPP acquires RE-DEFINED
MAPP has acquired specialist flexible workspace operator RE-DEFINED to strengthen their ability to help existing and new clients unlock the latent potential of flexible office space in their buildings and portfolios.
The RE-DEFINED business, led by co-founders and former WeWork executives Oliver Meyers MRICS and Gibran Dar ACA, has been acquired from Spire Ventures.
The new venture will see RE-DEFINED join forces with MAPP’s own flexible workspace team, led by James Friedenthal who joined the company in June last year following a career at Workspace Group and Hana, the flexible workspace subsidiary of CBRE. The combined entity will be branded as RE-DEFINED, A MAPP Company.
Under the banner “Flexible spaces, strong foundations”, it will offer a full suite of bespoke flexible workspace solutions to landlords and developers, the new platform will provide two distinct products.
Firstly, |
a full-stack co-working operation focused on floor space up to 50,000 sq ft, incorporating a mix of wellness and event spaces, hot-desks and private offices |
Secondly; |
a plug-in solution for landlords who are looking to deliver fitted and managed flexible suites of up to 10,000 sq ft to occupiers who are seeking a middle ground between co-working and traditionally leased office space. |
RE-DEFINED’s first flex space will be at Louisa Ryland House in the heart of Birmingham’s Colmore Business District. Totalling 30,000 sq ft across four floors, the workspace is designed to accommodate a range of occupiers, offering hot-desks, co-working suites, conference facilities and large private offices of up to 5,000 sq ft. The space is due to open at the end of Q2 2022.
RE-DEFINED is looking to expand rapidly across the UK, with a pipeline in London, Manchester, Liverpool & Bristol.
