Car park resurfacing without disruption

Orchard Street required resurfacing works at Junction One Retail Park ahead of peak summer trading, without disrupting tenant operations or customer access.
The MAPP approach
MAPP implemented a phased works programme, including overnight works, coordinating contractors and facilities management partners. Clear communication ensured tenants remained informed, while essential access, circulation and delivery routes were maintained.
The impact
The project was delivered on schedule and within budget, including additional drainage repairs. Retailers continued trading uninterrupted, maintaining customer footfall throughout the works.
Having previously undertaken the PPM for the site, we were aware of the need to resurface the whole car park if funding allowed. Our focus for the project was to complete the works with minimal disruption to the tenants and visiting public. By working closely with Orchard Street, we were able to agree forward funding of the works to complete them as one phased project, reducing downtime and additional costs, whilst still keeping the car park open and tenants trading.
