Listed building refurbishment with zero disruption

Spectrum Building, AEW

AEW required the external refurbishment of Spectrum Building, a listed building, while it remained fully occupied. The project also required building services to be separated to allow for future unit subdivision.

The MAPP approach

MAPP secured a Certificate of Lawfulness in lieu of Listed Building Consent and maintained proactive tenant communication throughout the programme. Careful phasing and technical oversight ensured compliance and minimal disruption.

The impact

The refurbishment was completed with no operational impact to tenants. MAPP continues to provide technical consultancy and monitoring for subsequent project phases.

This £5m refurbishment followed months of careful planning and close coordination with multiple stakeholders. It was a complex project, so delivering the works within budget, on programme and with no occupier disruption reflects MAPP’s collaborative approach to project management. The next phase of the building’s refurbishment is now on site, and we look forward to continuing our role in returning it to its former glory.
