Powering a long-term renewable energy strategy

Frasers Property

Frasers Property required a Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (CPPA) aligned with its net zero carbon roadmap, with its existing energy contract expiring in October. The challenge was to secure an appropriate solar generation partner while bridging any short-term supply gap.

The MAPP approach

MAPP identified Brynrhyd Solar Farm, then in construction, as a suitable long-term renewable energy source aligned with Frasers’ sustainability objectives. We also arranged an interim renewable energy supply agreement with Ecotricity to ensure continuity and compliance with UK Green Building Council (UKGBC) Renewable Energy Procurement standards.

The impact

The CPPA commences in April 2025, delivering long-term renewable electricity supply and cost stability. The interim agreement ensured zero operational disruption, and the overall solution achieved Gold Level compliance with UKGBC Renewable Energy Procurement guidance.

Supporting clients on their net zero journey is about finding practical solutions that deliver both environmental and commercial value. By securing the right renewable energy strategy, we helped Frasers Property maintain continuity while taking another important step towards its long-term sustainability goals.
